Frequently Asked Questions

Questions and answers

Do you provide licensed financial, tax or legal advice?

We provide review, planning and financing preparation work: written deliverables that explain your position and set out what to do next. We do not hold client money, we do not execute investments, and we do not file tax returns. Where a task requires a licence we do not hold, we say so and you take it to a professional who has one.

What is the difference between the review and the plan?

The review is a snapshot: a written account of your present position, with a prioritised shortlist of the items that most affect your next twelve months and the reason each one is on the list. The plan is what follows it: a month by month cash flow framework for twelve months, the order obligations are cleared in, a scenario sheet for a change in income or essential costs, and two review calls. The review is $490 as a one-off; the plan is from $1,290.

Can you work with incomplete records?

Yes, and most engagements start that way. We list what is missing, work with what exists, and mark any figure we cannot verify as an assumption rather than filling the gap with a guess. If the gaps are large enough to change the answer, we will tell you before drafting.

How are documents sent and stored?

Documents are uploaded against your order or sent to the address on your order confirmation. They are used only for the work you ordered, access is limited to the desk handling it, and nothing is passed to a lender or anyone else unless you ask us to in writing. Deletion on request at the end of an engagement.

Will you talk to my lender or accountant?

Only if you ask us to, and only with what you have agreed we can share. Our default role is preparation: we build the file and the numbers and you decide who sees them. If you want us in the conversation, say so in writing and we will agree the scope of that separately.

What if I disagree with a figure in the deliverable?

Tell us which figure and why. We reply within two business days with either a correction or the reasoning behind it. If the figure was wrong, a corrected deliverable is issued at no cost and the earlier version is marked as superseded.

Do you earn commission from a lender or a product provider?

No. Our fee is the one stated on the package, paid by you. We take no commission, referral payment or other money from a lender, broker or product provider, and we do not sell financial products.

Can I pause or cancel the monthly retainer?

Yes. It stops at the end of the month you have paid for, with no cancellation fee and no notice period beyond that. The working files and forecasts stay with you. Details are on the changes and refunds page.
